Privacy and removal

Tminta is a directory of businesses in Malta and Gozo, run by Tminta Ltd, a company registered in Malta (the data controller). This notice explains what we store and why.

Businesses

We store business information that the business gave us or that is already public, for example on its website, social media pages or public registers: name, category, town, address, website, business email, business phone, public social links and photos. Our legal basis is legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)): helping people find local businesses. We may also contact a business about its listing and about services that can help it.

People who claim, list or contact us

When you claim a page, list a business or use the contact form, we store your name, email, phone (if given) and message, to answer you and manage the listing.

Reviewers

When you write a review, we store your name, email, rating and text. We show your name, rating, text and the month of the review. We never show your email. We use it only if we need to check the review with you.

Visitors

We do not use tracking or advertising cookies (see the cookie policy). When you use Ask Tminta, we store the words you typed and the services it matched, without your name or IP address, to learn what people look for in Malta.

How long we keep data

Listings stay while they are useful and correct. Removed listings are deleted within 30 days. Messages and claims are kept as long as we need them to deal with your request.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Use the contact form. You can also complain to the Information and Data Protection Commissioner in Malta.

Remove or change a listing

Open the listing and use "Remove this listing". It is hidden at once. To change details, use "Claim this page".
